Iridium and Cellular
The T622 is one of the few real hybrid vehicle tracker with advanced functionalities. When a GSM signal is unavailable, the device switches to the Iridium network automatically and revert back as soon as there is the cellular network back. This is the guarantee to have the best coverage at the best possible rate as you will use the satellite connectivity only when you really need it and without any action from your side.
Multi-Functionnal
The Traksat T622 support ultrasonic fuel level sensor, camera, RFID reader, remote engine cut through relay, and it even has CAN bus interface which can read CAN data
of various vehicle models. Some features are not specially recommended to be sent through satellite like CAN data but they can be tampered and forwarded later when cellular network is back for example.
Remote Configuration
If it is best practice to fine configure before installation using the provided configuration software, you can remotely interact with your devices and request some details or change a configuration setting. You can also remotely control the device to upload some driver authorisation for example or envelope the cut the engine-off to lock the vehicle. You can fine tune your report rates for each network choice (satellite and cellular)

Frequent Questions
Can it work without external power ?
Not really, or let’s say not long. There’s a small backup battery inside that will give you about 45 hours in power-saving mode or 4 hours in normal mode. Also the Iridium connectivity do require external power so only the cellular link will work on the backup battery in case of loss of main external power.
Is every feature workable over Iridium satellite ?
The T622 is very versatile and can be connected with various peripherals ans some will not work well over Iridium or not at all. Some applications are also sometimes workable technically but rationally too expensive on the Iridium network.
