Aircraft Quick Deploy with SARNET

With the InRouter 300 you can put the 4G-LTE and Wi-Fi in Helicopters and fixed wing small aircraft so that you can stream live video to multiple screens, fixed location and mobile.

It is a cost-effective and secure, compact industrial 4G VPN router, equipped with two Ethernet ports, dual SIM holders and a WiFi interface. It provides easy, reliable, and secure internet connectivity onboard.

In urban regions cell coverage is limited by buildings, requiring a number of cell towers to provide quality service throughout the region. Cell Tower transmissions with aircraft are not handicapped by urban infrastructures and service is only limited to LOS (Line of Sight). At ground level the horizon is the LOS limit which is approximately 10 miles. An aircraft at 5,000 ft has a LOS of 85 miles.

Within a radius of 85 miles a number of populated regions with Cell Towers should be within range. Currently 3G is more prevalent than 4G in remote regions. GPS and text messages can be sent over 3G networks. 4G allows streaming video and long range voice PTT along with GPS and texting

Our Cloud based, openly shared platform, allowing GPS assets involved in Wildfire Firefighting to appear in virtual real-time on multiple common screens on the ground and in the air. Helicopter and fixed-wing  aircraft crew can see the actual GPS location of their aircraft on their tablet relative to ground targets such as wildfire hot-spots, firefighters and SAR teams. Helicopters can now provide WiFi and Internet connectivity for passengers

However 4G-LTE is limited typically to within 50 miles of populated regions. Iridium Satellite service is available everywhere. Our cloud based interface is an open, network agnostic 4G-LTE and satellite data services routing hub that can display all assets, ground and airborne on shared common screens.
